Siddhas, Yogis & Rishis of India

The greatest contribution of India to the world is her material and spiritual science. No civilization, however old it be, has ever attained the level of sophistication, reached by the great ancient Siddhas, Yogis and Rishis of India in material and spiritual science.

What they had was not just intelligence but intuition. They could see, hear or feel beyond the realm of the five senses. They did not need telescopes, microscope or other scientific equipments to unravel the mysteries of the cosmos. They only relied on the most powerful instrument in the world the human soul which has it in a latent sense, omniscience and omnipotence.

The earth plane was actually designed as a laboratory for the evolution of souls, so the GOD send us His reprsentatives in the form of Siddhas, Yogis and Rishis to show us the way. This great souls are in every part of the world, but particularly in India and especially in Tamil Nadu, the land of the Mystics.

In India all scientific truths are imbibed in routine life, by explaining them through Puranic Stories. Through tradition or custom, all scientific truths are brought to the stage of implementation in day-to-day life

In this Blog im Decoding the Hindu Sacred Stories, Symbols, Myth, Rituals and Worships for Today`s Modern World Scientifically. Many doubts such as the connection between the Universal Soul, the One God and myriad gods and goddesses, Hindu rituals, practices and their symbolism, the caste system and concepts such as karma, dharma and reincarnation are explained in a simplified and scientific form.

VIDYA - EDUCATION
Education, which cannot give peace to the soul or cannot give the knowledge of the Self and the inner satisfaction, is not education. Education, which cannot wipe the tears of others, known or unknown, is not education. Education is understanding the situation - leading the life that can make the life, the Life Divine, where the ultimate goal of the life is the God-Realisation.

THREE STAGES OF HUMAN EVOLUTION

- Animal to Man ( Mooladhara to Anahata )
- Man to Man ( Anahata to Ajna )
- Man to Divine ( Ajna to Sahasrara )

GOLDEN AGE / SATYUGAM
During 2012, the Sun, Earth and Karthigai star, will be in alignment resulting in more of the grace light entering the Earth plane. Thereafter, it is predicted that the Karthigai - Lord Murugan energy will be responsible for the transformation of the planet and of the genetic evolution of the human species into Gods and Goddesses status. This energy will allow humans to return to their original blueprint. The most important thing to remember about these new energies is to stay conscious and match our frequency to receieve it through proper worships, rituals, yoga and mystical knowledge according to great siddha masters.

ANCIENT SIDDHA MASTERS
The Siddhas were scientists, particularly in their investigations into chemistry, astronomy, plants, human anatomy and physiology. They applied their extraordinary powers, developed through intensive yogis practices, to research these areas on atomic and universal levels without the use of sophisticated equipment. In the long linege of Siddhas, one does not know when they came into earth's existance. Whether they still exist or are they Ascended masters teaching humanity the various sciences and philosophy, will perhaps, be never known.

SIDDHAS TEACHINGS
In the teachings of the Siddhas the human body is a temple of God. Man is a miniature representation of Paramatma or Supreme Intelligence. The purpose of life is to realize God.To manifest that realization in all planes of existence.

SIDDHAS MEDICINE
Using special salts as well as herbal formulae the Siddhas developed the unique science of rejuvenation, known as "kaya kalpa", which allowed them to prolong their lives until the long term effects of Kriya Kundalini Pranayama and similar yogic practices could complete the process of transformation, bringing about physical immortality.

Siddhas followed the ancient Guru- disciple apprenticeship method. They revealed their secrets to those students whom they felt could be trusted not to misuse the science. The science of Kaya kalpa was limited to those great sages. who were prepared for the uplifting of humanity. Ayurveda came much later as discipline.

SIDDHAS SECRET KNOWLEDGE
The Siddhas had vast knowledge of human anatomy. Their single-minded concentration was unique. It was was achieved with perfection. Their literature on medicine was extensive. The Siddhas were a close-knit community and preferred to preserve their knowledge. They reduced this knowledge to codes and symbols and their literature was steeped in mysticism. Only a Siddha can decode the writings of a Siddha. A beginner could not gain any appreciable knowledge without the Siddha accepting him as a student.

THE SCIENCE OF YOGA
Siddhas such as Thirumoolar, Agastyar, Boganathar, and many more had realized their capacity for experiencing and manifesting the Divine. This was not only limited to the spiritual plane of existence. The Cosmic Spirit would descend into the more lower and gross planes of consciousness, the intellectual, mental, and physical bodies. This for us is a limiting thought as our yogic parasites are not as intense as the Siddha. With progressive surrender of their being , their ego and their very lives the Divine would indeed transform them. With intense practices of various Kriyas, hatha and bhakti yoga, meditation, mantras and Kriya Kundalini Pranayama they merged with the Cosmic Spirit . This was race against time as the natural breakdown of cells, catabolism, had to be reversed to anabolism to prolong the extent of their age. They had to complete the Divine transformation. With Kriya Kundalini yoga and using specific herbal and mineral salts they were able to prolong their youth for the Ultimate transformation.

SIDDHANTHAM
The Universe was created out of a Cosmic Thought . No civilization be it the Inca, Atlantis or Egyptian had such a precise knowledge as the Siddhas. They were proficient in the science of longevity or deathless state, alchemy, medicine and physics.

Chakras and The Serpent Energy - By Vijayakumar Allagappan

Kundalini Chakras and the allied ancient wisdom seem to be a myth so long for most of the modern kind. With the acquired knowledge of modern science, the Kundalini Chakras and their presence can be explored, using Kirlian Photography and Thermo Scanner. These were first pointed by Indian mystics, 5000 years back. Most of us know that the human body is a powerful machine, possessing super powers. Our ancients called us as energy-bodies, by saying `Aham brahmasmi` which means "I possess God within myself in the form of energy-field of the Universe. Human body is a tiny sample of the Universe in every aspect and should be balanced by `Panchabhutas`(Five Vital Energirs) like Earth, Fire, Air, Water and Space, which are also representing invisible Kundaline chakras.
Our ancient mystics without any device, could locate Kundalini chakras in the spine; it is still a miracle for most of us. Now the western world also recognized these Chakras as energy centres, understood them as prime points controlling the whole body with the aid of endocrine systems. However, these chakras cannot be seen by naked eye (as any form of energy is invisible to us). Few sensitive persons may feel their existence.

Kundalini refers to Serpent energy, which is very apt, because it is powerful and alert as a snake coiled 3.5 times resembling the structure of DNA. These symbolic snakes can seen in most of the Shivan temples(carved in rock). Chakra means `wheel` , circular in shape. These Chakras can be identified by their individual colour and frequency, maintaining the same dimension as the other chakras. There are mainly seven chakras representing visible spectra of light(VIBGYOR colours) known with different names like Sahasrara, Ajna, Visudha, Anahatha, Manipuraka, Swadhisthana and Muladhara. They are located along spine. Each Chakra has a variety of factors associated with colours, sounds, gods, elemental energy etc. Chakras are entry points to the body for subtle energy and they are connected witth the important glands, as specified in the medical science.

Human Aura (Kavasam)

The aura supposedly reflects a supernatural energy field or life force that permeates in all things. Human auras allegedly emerge from the chakras. The human aura is both an energy field and a reflection of the subtle life energies within the body. These energies make us what we are and in turn, are affected by our surroundings and life style. The aura reflects our health, character, mental activity and emotional state.Commonly called the etheric field, this energy extends about two to four inches around the body and is usually a light or pastel shade. Layering the etheric is the aura which contains every color and shade in the rainbow and usually extends 2- 5 feet from the body. Its colors, textures and patterns reveal much information about physical, emotional, mental and spiritual states. An aura is like a thumbprint; it is completely individual and expresses who you really are in all your splendor. It also shows disease - often long before the onset of symptoms.Under ordinary circumstances, auras are only visible to certain people with special psychic powers. You may use Kirlian photography to capture auras on film.

They are also Known as Koshas in the India, these finer bodies are described as `sheaths'.There is not one aura, but several auras, each with its own peculiarities, working together as a composite surrounding us.Being part of the flow of inner energies through our being. The Etheric Aura'The etheric body also draws vital energy, or Prana, from the sun and other forms of energy from the earth itself, for use in the living of the body cells. These energies circulate throughout the etheric body and its dense material counterpart and having supplied the needs of the organism. They are radiated out from the etheric body in a haze which extends all round the body for some inches beyond its surface. The first part of the aura, this haze, is known as the Etheric Aura. The etheric body is closely connected with all the vital processes of the body, in fact a

replice of the physical body. The etheric aura is a good guide to the physical health of the person. Then we have Mental and Emotional Aura.We usually think of a body in terms our dense physical one. Seldom do we think without some of emotion, and we react emotionally with some thought entering into the process. These are are refered to as the `emotional body' and the `mental body'. The two aspects of consciousness, emotion and mind, are closely linked together, and the energies of the inner worlds stream through the `bodies' which are our means of contact with those worlds. These energies also radiate out around the physical body, but over a far larger area than the vital energies of the etheric double. These vital energy radiations can usually be a few inches away from the physical body. The emotional-mental auric radiation extends for several feet in the average person, and in more highly developed people it may extend much farther.Another Aura is `spiritual aura', extends beyond the body varies from a few feet, in unevolved people to even miles in the case of highly developed people.

Who Invented the Aircraft?

View Image

India had many ancient texts on Aeronautics. They contained topics like Maargadhi Karana (Navigation and control of speed during flight), Lohaadhi Karana (alloys used for various components of the aircraft) and Saktyaadhi Karana (production and usage of various fuels used in aircrafts). Para sabda Grahakata is a subject of monitoring the flight tracks of aircrafts, navigation and communication system, and monitoring the conversation of the pilots in the aircraft. Maharishi Gouthama mentioned 32 models of aircrafts used in Treta yuga; only one model among them, called Pushpaka Vimana, became popular in the Ramayana. The Vaimaanika Sastra describes Tripura Vimna that uses Solar powered engine to travel at three levels - on the land, under the surface of water, and in the air. Sakuna Vimaana is a kind of mix of an aircraft and a rocket - a space shuttle. The British have stolen most of our ancient manuscripts during their rule in India. In 1895, Sivasankar Thalpad of Bombay had constructed an aircraft, which flew to an altitude of 1500 feet. He was a Vedic scholar and used to teach at J.J. School of Arts. He obtained the technology from some rare ancient manuscripts. he also wrote a book in Marathi named Praacheena Vimaana Vidye Chaasodha. Lalaji, Maharaja of Baroda, was one of the many wtnesses, who had seen the flying of that aircraft. After untimely death of Prof. Thalpad, his legal heirs sold all his scripts and materials to the British.

Agastya Siddha

View Image
The Vindhya mountain range is still waiting for him to return. But he will not return for if he does then Vindhya will once again raise his head in pride and block the path of the sun. There is another reason why Agastya went south in the first place.

It is also said that once all the Rishis from all over the world went North to hear Shiva reveal the secret of the Veda and the Tantra. This caused the earth to tilt and so Shiva asked Agastya to go south and restore the balance of the earth for the spiritual weight of Agastya was equal to the weight of all the other Rishis put together.

Agastya’s had two fathers, the Vedic gods, Mitra and Varuna, and one mother, the nymph, Urvashi. He never wanted to marry and have children. But he was haunted by the vision of his ancestors hanging upside down over a bottomless abyss. There they would stay, they howled, until he married, fathered children and helped them be reborn.

And so after crossing the Vindhyas, Agastya asked a king for his daughter’s hand. The king, who lived in the region of Vidarbha, however was childless. “I give you the daughter I do not have,” said the king. So Agastya said, “You will soon have the daughter you do not have now but will soon give me.” Agastya then created a woman with his magical powers using the most beautiful parts of the birds and beasts of the forests. Since this woman was created by the loss (lopa) of the most beautiful features (mudra) of animals, she came to be known as Lopamudra. She was given to the king who then gave her in marriage to Agastya.

Lopamudra followed her rather short and stout husband dutifully but requested that he treat her as a princess that she was. “Approach me in clothes that are beautiful on a bed that is comfortable in a house that is prosperous.” Agastya, being an ascetic, had no access to such clothes or bed or house. So he went to other kings and sought gifts that would enable him to please his wife.

Agasthiyar is said to have "dedicated" all the forest animals to the deity Rudra (later called as Shiva), hence making them fit for eating if killed while hunting. One of the kings he visited was a demon called Ilavala. Ilavala had a brother called Vatapi who could change his shape and become a goat. Ilavala would cut kill this goat and serve the meat to guests. As soon as the guest ate the meat, he would chant a hymn that would bring his brother back to life in the guest’s stomach. Vatapi would then bore his way out of the guest’s body, killing the guest in the process. When Agastya sought gifts from Ilavala, he said, “Sure, but first you must eat.” Agastya could not say no but one bite of the food being offered and he knew mischief was afoot. Agastya ate the food quickly, then rubbed his stomach and burped loudly before Ilavala could chant the magic hymn. When the hymn was finally chanted Vatapi did not emerge much to Ilavala’s surprise. “Your brother, I fear, has been digested,” said Agastya with a smile, “Now, where are my gifts?”

Agastya amazing digestive ability led him to drink all the waters of the oceans enabling the Devas to find and kill Asuras who had hidden underwater. Later, he urinated out the water, and this, say some, is why the sea is salty.

On his journey south, Agastya carried a pot of Ganga water. When this pot was placed on the ground in South India, Ganesha, in the form of a crow, some say a rat, caused it to tip. Water flowed out of the pot and turned into the river Kaveri.

To remind him to the Himalayas, Agastya also carried with him two hills from the North. These were hung from two ends of a stick balanced on the shoulder of a Rakshasa called Hidima (a style of transportation called ‘kavadi’). In the South, one of the hills became extremely heavy making it impossible for Hidimba to carry it further. On investigation, Agastya found a boy sitting on that hill. “These hills remind me of my home in the North,” said the boy. Agastya realized the boy was Kartikeya, the son of Shiva, who angry with his father, had moved south. Agastya asked the Rakshasa to plant the hill in the South wherever the boy asked him to. That hill is now called Palani in Tamil Nadu and is the sacred shrine of Kartikeya locally known as Murugan.

Agastya and Lopamudra are associated with hymns found in the Rig Veda. Both are said to have popularized Lalita Sahashranama, the 1000 names of the Goddess. Agastya is renowned in the South as the father of Siddha, the southern form of Ayurveda. He is also associated with occult arts of architecture and forecasting as well as formulation of the Tamil language. Even today a mountain peak between Tamil Nadu and Kerala associated with rare medicinal herbs is called Agastyamalai, or Agastya’s hill, a reminder of his presence in and contribution to civilization in South India.
